Spectacular amazing gore combat great enemy variety the elephants where so awesome to fight i wish there was more of these enemies in other spectacular amazing gore combat great enemy variety the elephants where so awesome to fight i wish there was more of these enemies in other god of war games the puzzles where so brilliant unique hard the story is great with great pacing boss fights where a few but it was epic fighting The Aegean hycatonchories titan Prophet Castor and the furies you get your original blades of chaos and the elemental powers you get are so cool and unique and you can upgrade them and do so some insane combos combined with standard weapons you get to pick up the grapple system with R1 is amazing i like the new tweeks to the combat systems it feels fresh new i really liked the QTE mini games where you can dodge your opponent and than strike the soundtrack and music is awesome the graphics are great in ascension the enviroments imagination art design of this game is briliant this game shouldn't be compared to god of war 3 because its a prequel to god of war chains of olympus and ascension doesnt deserve to be the black sheep of the god of war franchise god of war ascension is just one of the many best god of war games in the franchise that deserves its 10/10 just like the other god of war games what a masterpiece … Expand Olympus in order to kill zeus an the other gods, which is the only reason i can't/won't score this game any higher than it's well deserved 9/10.
That will, no matter what, ALWAYS be less entertaining than scaling mt. Ascension was screwed right from the beginning for being a prequel about the furies. This game in my opinion though is the second best in the series, with GOW3 still being the best. The multiplayer is original (for the most part) and fun to play, and the story mode offers a new side of kratos which i'm very happy to see. But after playing through the story mode, (i got an early copy) i came to realize that the ONLY thing this game does wrong, is that it has to be compared to god of war 3. But after So i wasn't expecting too much out of this game as it wasn't getting the best "pre-release" feedback, which did have me worried.
