The little boy is adorable and the nightmares he endures are truly nightmarish. The puzzles are a lot of fun to figure out and the art design is simply incredible. It’s shaping up to be an excellent game which both feels darker than Amantia Design’s previous games and also more easily accessible. The gameplay is much more fast paced though, with you able to make your way through each puzzle quite quickly. The way you interact with the environment is similar to Samorost and Machinarium, with puzzles requiring a little experimentation and deduction to solve. The current build of Happy Game takes around 15 minutes to play through and is a wonderful bite-sized slice of surrealist horror.
